Wheeling’s Small Business Saturday
WHEELING, W.Va. – Nov. 23, 2022 – Wheeling Heritage and its partners want to remind you to support local businesses and restaurants on Small Business Saturday this weekend. Small Business Saturday is an annual campaign created by American Express that encourages people to shop small and bring more holiday shopping to small businesses. The initiative began in 2010 in the midst of the recession and has continued for more than a decade.
Wheeling offers a variety of small business shopping for Small Business Saturday, including some special pop-up markets and other free activities. Wheeling Heritage, along with the Wheeling Area Chamber of commerce, City of Wheeling, Regional Economic Development Partnership, Centre Market, and the Wheeling Convention and Visitors Bureau, encourages residents to visit local businesses, mom n’ pop shops, and local restaurants this Saturday.
