Celebrate the reveal of a new art installation featuring artwork created by local residents of their pets, and enjoy a day full of dog-friendly activities for dog-lovers from across our community.

11:00 a.m. – DJ Juan Dunlap
Spinning tunes all day and keeping the energy high as our event emcee!
11:15 a.m. – AKC Tricks Demonstration
Witness the teamwork between dogs and their handlers as they navigate through a series of obedience exercises with precision and style.
11:45 a.m. – Team Zoom Canine Entertainment (Session 1)
Get ready to experience the Midwest’s most hilarious and acrobatic pups at this highly-anticipated dog trick show!
12:15 p.m. – Zoom Meet ‘n Greet
Say hello to the stars of Team Zoom! Snap a photo and get a few tail wags from your favorite furry performers.
12:30 p.m. – Dog Costume Contest
Dress your pup in their best costume and have them strut across the stage for our FidoFest Costume Contest.
Top dogs win a $50 gift card to Dirty Paws!
Two categories: Best Overall & Dynamic Duo (two pups or pup and owner!) Register day-of at the Wheeling Heritage welcome table.
1:15 p.m. – Scent Demo with Jill Robbins
Watch a skilled scent dog in action and learn how canines use their incredible noses to detect specific scents.
2:30 p.m. – Team Zoom Canine Entertainment (Session 2)
Didn’t catch the first show? Don’t worry! These trick-loving pups are back for another round of high-flying fun.
3:00 p.m. – Zoom Meet ‘n Greet
One last chance to meet the amazing Team Zoom dogs up close!
3:15 p.m. – Wheeling PD K9 Demonstration
See our local K9 officers and their four-legged partner show off their skills in this action-packed demo.

In 2023, Volunteer Wheeling hosted the first FidoFest at the Fitzsimmons Family Dog Park in East Wheeling.
In 2024, it was held at the Fitzsimmons Family Dog Park at Wheeling Park.
During each event, a new public art installation was revealed from that year’s Paint Your Pup event!
