Table 304 Wins Show of Hands
WHEELING, W.Va. – June 30, 2022 – After four local business pitches, Table 304 walked away with the most votes, winning Wheeling’s Show of Hands. Owner, Libbi Gramby, took home more than $5,000 for her mother/daughter, grazing board and coffee shop business located in the Flatiron Building downtown Wheeling.
Show of Hands is a community-supported crowdfunded event hosted by Wheeling Heritage. While returning for our second in-person Show of Hands event after the pandemic, the four presenters combined received over 200 votes. Each presenter had a one-minute video, produced by the Wheeling Heritage media team, that played before they gave their four minute pitch.
In her pitch, Libbi introduced her grazing board and coffee shop business to the crowd. She explained her plans to purchase a commercial-grade food processer to make her famous cheese spread, while also expressing that she would love to purchase tasting glasses and flight boards for her shop if she were to win Show of Hands.
“It is an amazing feeling. I am still overwhelmed just by winning and by the support of the community,” said Table 304 owner, Libbi Gramby. “To see everyone there last night and supporting us means the world. We can’t wait to start making more cheese spread!”
“We were thrilled with the turnout last night and are so happy for Libbi and the rest of the Table 304 team,” said Alex Panas, program manager at Wheeling Heritage. “All of the presenters did a wonderful job telling their stories and we encourage everyone in the community to continue to support and uplift these amazing businesses. We are proud of the platform that Show of Hands gives these entrepreneurs to promote their businesses and we invite any local business in Wheeling to consider applying for our next event that is scheduled for September 28.”
The event’s other presenters included:
- Chef n Company
- Edgington Studio
- Tito’s Sloppy Dog
Scott Schenerlein, Wheeling Heritage’s Executive Director, said “Supporting small businesses is key to our mission here at Wheeling Heritage.” Schenerlein continued, “Congratulations to Libbi and to all the contestants. Thanks also to our sponsors and attendees as their support is key in so many ways to making this event a success.”
The next Show of Hands is scheduled for September 28 at the Wheeling Artisan Center Downtown.
