Handmade Holiday: Winter Market Now Accepting Vendor Applications
WHEELING, W.Va. – July 3, 2025– Wheeling Heritage is now accepting vendor applications for its 2025 Handmade Holiday: Winter Market, set to take place on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wheeling Artisan Center, 1400 Main Street.
Following the overwhelming response to last year’s market, the 2025 event will once again be held on all three floors of the Wheeling Artisan Center. The first floor will feature interactive stations, creating an even more engaging and festive experience for shoppers and families alike.
Handmade Holiday is a one-day makers’ market that celebrates creativity and craftsmanship by showcasing high-quality, handcrafted goods from artists and artisans in Wheeling and the surrounding region. The annual event encourages the community to buy local and shop small, offering a unique holiday shopping experience.
Inspired by the independent craft fair movement, Handmade Holiday aims to build a marketplace that supports local makers while increasing awareness about handmade goods and creative processes.
“We’re thrilled to bring back this beloved tradition for our community! Each year, incredible vendors return to share their art and handmade goods with all of you. We’re also looking forward to finding new ways to engage and activate families throughout the event—stay tuned for exciting updates,” said Riley Carpenter, Director of Heritage Programming at Wheeling Heritage.
Vendor applications are open now through Monday, Aug. 4 at 5 p.m. Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee and evaluated based on craftsmanship, creativity, and overall presentation. Due to limited space, acceptance is not guaranteed—even for returning vendors.
Eligible vendors must offer original, handmade products. Reproductions of original artwork (such as prints, stickers, or mugs) are permitted, but mass-produced or trademarked items will not be accepted.
A $5 non-refundable application fee is required. If selected, vendors will pay a $55 booth fee to participate. All applicants will be notified of their status by Wednesday, Aug. 20.
Apply online at: https://wheelingheritage.org/handmade-holiday/. Space is limited, so early applications are encouraged.
