Project: Fabric Collage

This month, Savannah Schroll Guz returns to lead participants through the process of creating unique fabric collages. Before diving into the project, Savannah will share a brief history of this medium with examples from different artists. Participants will then get to utilize an array of materials, including hoops, fabric, embroidery floss, vintage photo transfers, fabric bits, lace, yarn, buttons, beads, and feathers to create art that tells a story.

Savannah Schroll Guz is a mixed-media artist born in York, PA & based in Weirton, WV. Savannah’s work is in private collections from NYC to San Diego and has been shown in Asheville (NC), Cleveland, Harrisburg (PA), Hudson (NY), Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, Rochester, St. Louis, New York City, Weirton, Wheeling, and York (PA).
