Ceramics Take Over Wheeling: “Take a Sip” Exhibit
The city of Wheeling is holding a citywide celebration, “Ceramics Take Over Wheeling,” spotlighting the talents of ceramic artists and enthusiasts. Various galleries across the “Friendly City” are teaming up for this exciting partnership, presenting a showcase of ceramic art throughout the month. Wheeling Heritage is hosting the “Take a Sip” exhibit in the newly renovated Wheeling Artisan Center from March 22 through March 30.
The opening reception for the “Take a Sip” exhibit will take place on Friday, March 22, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Wheeling Artisan Center Art Gallery on the first floor. This reception marks the beginning of the celebration, allowing attendees to engage with the artists and discover the stories behind their pieces.
“We’re excited to be a part of this citywide celebration of ceramic art,” said Alex Panas, director of heritage programming at Wheeling Heritage. “Our focus on ceramic drinking vessels invites visitors to appreciate the beauty and practicality of this art form. We hope that this exhibit brings joy and encourages people to add a unique piece of art to their collection that they can use every day.”
