Taqueria 304 to Host Disc Golf Scramble With Proceeds to Volunteer Wheeling
WHEELING, W.Va. – Oct. 12, 2022 – Wheeling’s Taqueria 304 will be hosting their first Disc Golf Scramble on Sunday, Oct. 16, at Wheeling University. All proceeds from the event going to Volunteer Wheeling, a local volunteer group who focuses on small-scale beautification projects around Wheeling.
The event will begin at 1 p.m. at Wheeling University. Teams of three can sign up to play the 9-hole course in advance. While the goal is to have the lowest score, spotters will be located around the course to make sure discs are easily located and that play continues quickly.
“We at Taqueria 304 want to be philanthropic but post-pandemic, we were trying to figure out how to do so with no budget,” said Bobby Rys, Front of House Manager at Taqueria 304. “Dave, the owner, tasked me with the challenge of putting together this disc golf scramble. I love that the proceeds will go to Volunteer Wheeling as we love the work they are doing around town which benefits everyone.”
“We are so pleased to be the recipient of proceeds from the Taqueria 304 Disc Golf Scramble,” said Ellen Gano, Volunteer Wheeling Leader. “Their generosity will help Volunteer Wheeling to fund more projects that will make an impact in our city.”

Registration fee is $100 per team to participate which includes a disc for each player sponsored by Walmart Triadelphia, a meal after the event, and drinks courtesy of Carenbauer Distributing.
Volunteer Wheeling is a group organized through Wheeling Heritage and the City of Wheeling that takes on small-scale beautification projects in Downtown Wheeling and surrounding neighborhoods.
