Wheeling Heritage Launches Partnership Grant Program to Support Community Development

Wheeling Heritage is pleased to announce its Partnership Grant Program, which provides funding for projects that align with the organization's mission to revitalize Wheeling through historic preservation, community development, and the arts.

The program is designed to support innovative, community-driven initiatives that enhance the Wheeling Heritage Area (the city limits of Wheeling). Projects that interpret Wheeling’s Themes of History and Development will be given preference.

The grant program is open to a wide range of applicants, with a focus on accessibility, inclusivity, and community involvement. Proposals are reviewed by an ad-hoc committee to ensure compliance with guidelines and to determine funding eligibility.

Grants can fund up to 75% of direct project costs, with applicants required to provide a matching share, either through dollars or in-kind services.

Wheeling Heritage offers five types of grants: Education & Interpretation, Small Business Development, Artist, Recreation, and Fairs & Festivals. To learn more about the application process and available grants, visit our website.
