Available for Downtown Development
Wheeling, West Virginia, is a city on the move. Be a part of the best of both worlds: A historic small town with all of the amenities and entertainment you would expect from a big city.
The 1400 Block of Market Street in Downtown Wheeling contains four buildings, all contributing to the Wheeling Historic District. Each with their own distinct architectural style, these four buildings maintain a high level of original historic fabric. The buildings’ addresses from left to right: 1437, 1433, 1429, and 1425 all present unique characteristics, and challenges.
Situated in the heart of downtown Wheeling, the 1400 block is steps away from many amenities including West Virginia Independence Hall, West Virginia Northern Community College, and the downtown business district.
Wheeling Heritage seeks to be a catalyst for revitalization in the City of Wheeling. We provide free technical and design services to assist developers throughout the historic preservation process.
Together, Wheeling Heritage and the City are seeking a qualified historic preservation developer to rehabilitate the buildings, or repurpose them in a new site development. Send an email to joel@steadfastcity.com or fill out the form below for more information.
